To turn voicemail transcription on or off:

1. Open the Phone app.

2. Tap Voicemail in the bottom right corner.

3. Tap the Settings icon in the top right corner.

4. Scroll down and toggle Voicemail Transcription on or off.

Voicemail transcription is a feature that converts your voicemails into text so you can read them like a regular message. The transcriptions are not always accurate, but they can be helpful if you’re unable to listen to the voicemail right away.

 

To turn voicemail transcription on or off, open the Phone app and tap the Voicemail tab. Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then select Transcription. You can enable or disable voicemail transcription from here.

To set up voicemail transcription, go to Settings and select Phone

Tap on Voicemail, then Turn On Voicemail Transcripts to enable the feature. You can also choose to have your voicemails automatically deleted after they’ve been transcribed.

Once you’ve enabled voicemail transcription, you can view transcriptions of your voicemails by selecting them in the Phone app. The transcription will be displayed beneath the playback controls.

If you need to disable voicemail transcription, go to Settings and select Phone. Tap on Voicemail, then Turn Off Voicemail Transcripts.

Scroll down to Voicemail Transcription and toggle the switch to on or off.

If you don’t see the Voicemail Transcription setting, contact your carrier.

 

With Voicemail Transcription turned on, your iPhone will transcribe your voicemails into text so that you can read them. This can be helpful if you’re unable to listen to your voicemail for some reason, or if you simply prefer to read the transcription.

However, keep in mind that not all carriers support Voicemail Transcription, and even if they do, the transcriptions may not be 100% accurate. So if you need to get important information from a voicemail, it’s still best to listen to it directly.

You will then be asked to provide your email address so that voicemails can be sent as text messages to your inbox.

How to Turn Voicemail Transcription On or Off for iPhone

Open the Phone app, then tap the Voicemail tab.
